Volvo's server is actually quite good. It feeds me 22 Gigabyte of data in 14 minutes. That's 210 Mbit/second, which is pretty impressive, as it also includes writing to the harddrive. It's actually faster than my USB stick can receive data, so there's nothing to complain about.
So at least with the server we get directed to in Sweden, slow download isn't Volvo's fault. But with my old ADSL connection it took eight hours.

Well .. Good news, I also had problems with updating Navi, that was with me so that it always showed me "Navigation Starts" but it did not work ... so I then have someone from another USB stick 64GB ( Sandisk) get, since I first had it formatted, I then let install ex. the map of Israel on it, which had only 3GB and in 5 minutes it was installed (why that? Because the navi was completely blocked and I wanted the new one European map which did not work to delete or change it somehow and then to try again with the European map and it worked that way). then you can format the USB stick again and install the European maps on it again (I have first installed on computer and then I have copied the stick) .. in 1h 40min it was installed in my car and it went .. that motor must stay on. and what else was synonymous with me so that the dvd / usb no longer works and I have reset the manufacturer settings then it went again

I downloaded a map update to my car, but when I put the stick in the car I have to ask for a license key. But I don't. Have been in contact with Volvo, but they have never heard of it before. So who can help me with the license key? It's a Volvo V70 D4 2014 mod

And your car being a 2014 implies it should have the ability to upgrade the maps via USB from the factory, right?
Have you updated before and it worked, or was this the first time?

I've just bought the car, so I don't know if the previous owner has. But is the first time I do it

I have to check my car, but out of the top of my head, software version should be 1100 or later, to allow for update via USB stick.

I will hand in the car to Volvo now and they will try to enter a new map. so i hope it helps

I was right. I walked out and checked.
My car has a very early version of the software which allows for free USB updates, and it's version 1100. I'd be surprised if there are earlier versions supporting it, since I ordered that upgrade within a week or so from it being first available. After that, I know they did improve it, but I haven't updated further, as mine works.

My map version is now 30.18.03, which means
30 Type of navigation system
18 Release year
3 Map region
