Should have it back on Wednesday, at some point. 👍🏻

Over the last couple of days - new Volvo discs and pads on the front (Pads came in a Volvo box, made by Jurid) and the same on the rear. Pads were by ATE. Had to re-use the calliper bolts, the ones supplied were too long. Brushed them clean, bit of Loctite on the threads and torqued them up. New handbrake shoes (Volvo, made in China) and new cables.

I also changed the torque bar on the front with a Volvo item - the original was still fitted, but the little bush had disintegrated.

In the next few days - do another drop of gearbox oil - did 8 litres about 2000 miles ago, will do another 4 litres - change the engine oil and filter while I'm under there - bleed the brakes (ATE Typ 200 fluid) - and put a new under tray on.

Deciding what to do about the tyres - rear are 2015, fronts 2016, Pirelli Scorpions. Not that old, but there are signs of micro cracks on the sidewalls near the rim edge and between the tread blocks.

Well, that didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped...
The front braided lines went straight on, without issue, but the rears had an incorrect fitting on one end.
Got some adapters to make the correct connection, but the lines are still about 75mm short. 😠😠
Had to leave the old ones on, for now, but they are still perfect condition anyway.
Time to chat to the supplier and find out WTF is going on.
Power steering flushed and refilled with correct, new fluid.

Yes Dave.

The supplier is looking in to the issue for me.
Even with just the fronts done, the pedal feel is better than before.
Not meant to have braided and standard on the same circuit, so I need to get the rears swapped out asap!

Gary

I think so, as the mechanic never mentioned any removal issues.
Hopefully, I'll get a reply today.

On a positive note, the power steering is a lot better now, with the correct fluid added. 👍🏻👍🏻
