Ecm-1517, ecm-1600
Hey Guys, so i'm having some issues with boost, my turbo is switching off every now and then, uneven idle and sometimes stalling when starting up the car. And to be honest it doesn't feel like 200hp+ car since i have remapped it as well. So i got it connected to VIDA and i got couple faults for ECM-1517 Turbo pressure too high and ECM-1600 boost pressure sensor signal too high. Since this is my first car and i'm dealing first time with these sensors i got little confused because there are many types of them like BOSCH MAP sensor, ERA Temperature sensor and so on. Essentially i'm just seeking an advice on what sensor i actually have to look for and what sensors were factory fitted? It's 2006 S60 D5 185.

Hi one test you need to do is, in vida have a look at what the MAP sensor is reading when the car is not running but switched on,
and look at the atmospheric pressure sensor is reading at the same time, They should be very close, Please let me know what the readings are, Dave |

I guess they're both the same. And regards the remap, i'm not sure, i remapped it because i had issues with dpf, and i think i had same pressure relted fault back then, but i thought it's because of dpf.

Pressure: 983.00 mb (reading from accuweather)
so this looks like the sensors are good, can you now drive with vida connected and log and graph, MAP pressure RPM TARGET MAP/BOOST PRESSURE MASS AIR FLOW VNT TURBO % Do this test in 3rd gear, it does look like the turbo is over boosting and needs cleaning, was you getting the same codes before the remap ? as if the boost is set to high with the remap and they did not set the SVBL single value boost limit, or boost by atmos limit correctly the car would do the same, Who did the remap, Dave |

so you have removed the DPF, what are you going to do at MOT Time, ?
ok I just have seen your last post, it seems you do have a sticky vnt turbo but please do these tests, also the vnt actuator may not be working you can test this with vida and also look to se if you can se the leaver move on the turbo, Dave |
