  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default 00 T5 BOOT LOCK BROKE

Can anyone tell me why my boot wont shut? When i shut the boot it does not lock and the warning message comes up "boot unlocked". it happened a while ago but started working again for a short time, but now its permanent. is it the solenoid switch or has anyone experienced this before?????

Hi Wozzer67, I've just started to have the same problem with my S60, dont know whats wrong, did you get any help at all with this or have you since found out what was wrong from a garage? I think its an electrical fault myself.

Wozzer, ok I was told that inside the sealed lock is a micro switch and when the lock closes a small lever with a plastic bit that juts out from it contacts the micro switch and sets the lock to close, electrically, this jutting piece of plastic sometimes breaks off and that is why the lock is usless, I've since had my lock fixed, basically was down in London so went to a scrap yard there and bought a second hand replacement and fitted it myself very easy cost £52.00 which included the VAT, a new one was £86.00 which also included VAT, can find these companies on the internet if your interested, good luck.
