  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

yes on some D5 engines around 2006 ... but not on the older or petrol engines

Mines leaking a lot. Have to put a litre a month of oil in. Just another on my long list of to do jobs..belts, thermostat, oil leak, headlight adjusters snapped, bonnet cable snapped...really can't be arsed.

Seal round the oil filler can harden and then leak but I don't think that is your problem. Just another one to watch for.

Im loosing bit of oil but never see any patches on my driveway, just a little bit at the bottom of my engine block, replaced the turbo return seal and has improved a bit, think cos im using 5-w30 oil i also burn a bit, nothing to worry just top it up when needed, but i do do alot of miles

The leak is on the sump and its coming from the corner dropping down onto the craddle.So the sump is gonna have to come off again tomorow.Can anyone surgest some good sealant for the sump.I do have a cam shaft oil leak but its very minor.

You should use the correct volvo liquid gasket sealer from the dealer ,
PN 1161059 it is a special grade of loctite which actualy bonds the sump to the block for strength .
