Mothballs in old socks will drive 'em out as a quick fix.

The favorite of the little bastards here is to nest beneath the shrouds of air-cooled gardening engines (OPE to some). There, they flee when you move the equipment then later the engine misfires and/or runs on due to excess heat.

I've checked the last couple of days and no further nibbles AFAIK,...just sent the kids (teenagers) out with a hoover,...pretty sure most of the crumbs are theirs

No further signs of the rodent, so I've replaced the acoustic bonnet liner with a 2nd hand one, that is not so religious (Holy).

Pity as the original was in VERY good condition otherwise
