Default Rear Park Assist

Hi, I have recently bought another V70 due to my other one being written off, (currently on copart website PX03) the problem is sometimes the rear parking sensors work fine and sometimes there is a constant beep, could it be one or more sensors are faulty or something else

Thanks

Hi, had something similar on my 05 v70. Short journeys less than 5 miles sensors were fine, over that they either went constant or nothing at all. Changed a few of the sensors and a module but no joy, fed up having to keep taking bumper off everything, so in the end replaced the whole lot, all sensors and wiring components. Sorted.

Was an OEM install from new, replaced with genuine parts, matching hole size etc.

I'd try giving them a good clean with white spirit first and if that doesn't work disconnect them one at a time till you find the faulty one

We've got exactly the same fault on ours - there is no logic to when they work and when we get the continuous beep. I think the answer is to disconnect each sensor in turn but I've not tried it yet. It may be though that the main unit is faulty as I know that the owner I bought the car from replaced the module before I picked it up and they seem to be flakey.

We had to replace all four sensors and the wiring loom to fix ours. Annoyingly it gave no error message, even though sensor three was blatantly malfunctioning.
