Automatic Load Civer MY19 XC60

I am wondering if any one had the automatic load cover fitted in the MY19 XC60. Thanks.

My understanding is that it comes as a standard feature.

Did yours come with it fitted Simon? If not, have you made any enquiries as to why it wasn’t fitted.

Mine did come with what is called the "Cargo Cover" which appears to have Two modes in the manual of:- i). Full Cover Position & ii). Loading Mode.
But were the term Automatic is derived from I am not sure, unless it refers to the auto-link between my brain telling my arm to move the Cargo Cover from mode to mode..........

Ok, my order form showed ‘Automatic Load Cover’ under standard interior spec. From what I understand ‘Automatic’ in the above context means the load cover opens and shuts automatically whenever the tailgate is opened or closed without using the hands. This feature is already available in V90. This feature is supposed to make loading and unloading easy and if you are like me then you don’t have to put effort in remembering to close the load cover before closing the tailgate, which I forget 9 out of 10 times and only realise it when I look in the rear mirror.

I may be wrong but I think that the automatically retracting load cover may only be available on the '90' series of SPA models.

A friend with a 2018 XC60 doesn't have it and the brand new V60 Inscription Pro that we had on the VOC stand at Manchester car show last weekend didn't have it.

It doesnt go in and out, it goes up and down in the extended if that answers the query.

Where you anchor it at the tailgate, there are slots above and if in the extended position it raises and lowers with the tailgate so you can get good access.

That's the V90 and Merecedes solution anyway.

Know what you mean, just checked my Order Form and it shows under 'Standard Features" a Part Code of PK03 - Automatic Load Cover.
As I am at the Dealer tomorrow I shall ask the question.........and let you know the response!

It looks like the term “Automatic” refers to the when the Load Cover is in the Full Cover position than a gentle pull up on the handle/pull area will “AUTOMATICALLY” move it up into the Loading position.
