So why would you need to notify the insurance company?

It’s a standard feature, just like side airbags for example, so it’s down to them to know what that comprises surely. If you specified it as an option then I could see the logic, but not otherwise .....

When I was getting quotes i was asked if it had City Safe or not. It wasn’t listed so I said no and it made a £100 plus difference to my Premium. Whether it does now two years on I don’t know but nothing ventured eh?

Mine triggered for the 1st time ever the other week when somebody driving a car of the 4 rings decided to wait until the traffic cones closing a lane impeded their progress to cut in on the queue that was happily in & using the adaptive cruise to maintain a safe braking distance to the car in front. luckily the truck behind had already left a nice big gap for said to drop into.
