Have you made any progress?

I've got exactly the same issue with our 2008 V50 with about 47k on clock. Just had clutch, DMF and slave cylinder replaced at cost of £1300 - still hurting after that!

Now staring down the barrel of gearbox replacement! Volvo quote £1845 plus fitting, Vege quote £1290 plus fitting. Neither options are appealing!

Anyone recommend a good breaker site?

Good luck, hope they sort it out. I'm out of warranty unfortunately! However, have found a great wee place in Falkirk called ASK who recondition gearboxes. The quoted £300-400 all in. They have the car right now so fingers crossed!

Hi gell I was through again at Volvo again Thursday different issue went out this time with the master tech he drove my car round about for couldn't find any issues with it so going to have to grin and bear it for the time being

could you get an extra noise if you needed an adjustment in gear selection for instance i go into 5th and 6th and it drives fine but i get a kind of noise like as if wheel bearing going kind of grindy?

Ive done a recent post regarding my problem with my car and i saw this post so thought i would read and ask the question with your previous comment about adjustment.
