Default engine service required again.

well i got the message displayed saying engine system service required so i went to Volvomax in glasgow and they diagnosed it as the oil level sensor.
so the warranty company paid out but today it came back on.

i took it back to dougie and he said its the same fault code again..
oil is changed and at the level its supposed to be.

any thoughts?

check that the oil level is not too high, it only needs to be about 1/2 way on the dipstick.
Very sensitive to oil level these I believe

Don't think you had a sensor problem - more likely the DPF system dumping a little bit of diesel in the sump and just sending it over the max mark. Had the same on my C70 D5. Search for DPF on here and you'll get the whole story behind them. Sorted mine by changing the oil and only filling to halfway up the dipstick marks - this allows the oil level to climb a little without setting of the warning. Be aware, the warning takes a few cycles to clear - changed my oil on a Friday, warning disappeared on Monday.
