My 2010 r design 2.4 d5 109000 miles has developed a rough idle. It runs ok when going but at tick over is rough. Any ideas why its doing this will be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully something simple such as an air leak -have a good look around at all vacuum lines and air intake side. I would get any faults read- warning light does not always come on. Change fuel filter and check air filter clean. Depending on how you are with spanners I would check and clean throttle body and EGR valve ( highish mileage so quite likely gummed up), and do leak test on injectors ( lots videos showing how). I am sure lots experienced people here will chip in now Your post back at top!
