As I understand it, stop/start vehicles should be equipped with either an AGM or an EFB battery, both of which are resistant to sulphation when discharged. Whatever battery is fitted, of course, a lot of stop/start activity with little driving time in between will drain it.

I know it's a bit out dated but my SS system stopped working - battery charge was the reason given by the car.
Got a new one from Tanya batteries and after one journey, it was fine again. I think it was an EFB battery and I replaced it with AGM but then the car was written off so longevity was unknown.
