Four-C
i have v70 2008 with four-C suspension and halogen non auto levelling headlights yet on the rear suspension is what allegedly is the headlight level sensor?
A thing with moveable arm on it. Is this fitted stock to all 4C cars just in case someone chooses HID?

That is more than likely the sensors used for the 4C suspension for ride height ect

The headlamp levelling system shares the data if you have them.

Yes, more or less.
But 4C is not a suspension control system, it's a shock absorption control system. So the sensors (there's one for every wheel) are there to measure how fast the ride height changes, not the ride height itself. It can't do anything about the height, just the resistance to change in height. Cars with Xenon headlights but no 4C have sensors on the right side only, for auto levelling of the lamps. Like my car - it has Nivomat self levelling suspension combined with auto levelling headlights, so they are always level-level! |
