Our daughter has a 2011 XC70. I’ve just needed to renew a rear indicator bulb. Owner’s handbook/manual (page 270) provides instructions as to where the bulb is and how to remove it and it’s holder from the light cluster. The bulb holder is plastic with a “tongue” to enable it to be gripped and removed from the light cluster. The manual advises that the bulb is then simply pulled out of the plastic holder yet it states on page 272 that the bulb is a “PY21W”. That type of bulb is a bayonet fitting with offset pins so could not simply be pulled out. I fitted a replacement PY21W and with with some difficulty managed to refit the bulb and holder into the light cluster.
The manual does not give any details of the reverse light bulb.
Is the image in the Skandix link similar to your bulb?
The image appears to be showing a bulb in a holder. The holder appears to have a “tongue” very similar to the one I have described above. Is it possible that the bulb is a “capless” type which simply pulls out of the holder?

The bulb in the link is the correct bulb, it isn’t a capless bulb in a holder, it’s a one piece bulb and holder. I’ve sourced led replacements from the internet. Thanks to Oak for his messages and PM. Just waiting for the led’s to arrive from Sweden and I’ll let you know what they’re like.
