Default Brake failure

I purchased a 3 year old v40 1.8 diesel. It had only 18000 on the clock and a full service history. Yesterday the brakes failed followed by a bang and the sound of rattling plates coming from the rear.
As we have owned the car for 2 months we took it back to the dealer and they have claimed that it was caused by the brake fluid boiling.
And it is caused by abuse of the breaks which certainly hasnt been the case in the day in question with 20mph speedlimit for 3/4 of the journey. As we paid the same as a delivery milage new model for our car from the dealer we are not best amused.

We also seem to have a gremlin which changes the radio to cd when the doors are shut and one of the speakers has decided to play up along with the very high treble which is almost painful unless set to at least -3. Again the dealer says they cant find anything wrong

Anyone ideas?

Default RE: Brake failure

the brake fluid could possibly boil by leaving the handbrake partially on
