Default How to reset map scale

Hello, I am new to the forum. I bought a new XC60 in March last year. It was thr run out model before the latest one came out. No problems so far. Not being techno-savvy I don't make the most of all the bells and whistles. Anyway yesterday morning I started the car and saw the nav map showed most of Western Europe. The scale is shown as 500 miles instead of 5 miles. I cannot find a way to return it to the original setting. I have used it all over Europe to great effect but cannot figure this out at all. HELP. Probably something the average 12 year old could solve but me!! Any comment welcome. Thank you.

Twiddle the little dial under your right thumb on the Steering wheel.

Certainly zooms in & out for me on mine.

Or turn the right hand knob that is just under the cd player, when in NAV mode. The one with OK, menu, exit on it. One way zooms in, other way zooms out.

Ah Yeah forgot that option, I normally only change it when I've driving, my son discovered that option the other week

Thanks again for the advice. It worked a treat. I do wish I was more techno savvy, but hey ho, I have other qualities. Many thanks.
