Siphoning by its definition doesn't need a tool, just a length of hose.
Do you mean fluid pumping/transfer?

Quite often syphon my bike tank to fuel my camping stove - carry a piece of small diameter tube for the purpose. One end in tank and suck, stop sucking (hopefully) just before getting a gob full of petrol, other end in stove fuel tank. (it's a coleman stove if you where wondering)

I have a sealey 6 litre syphon bottle. I use it to change brake fluid/ bleed brakes/ clutch.
Have extended the syphon tube with some 5mm washer tube long enough to reach all bleed nipples on the car without moving bottle. Attach pipe, open nipped and pump vacuumed. Stand by master cylinder slowly pouring fresh fluid into resevour. As pipe is clear you can watch the fluid coming out the system. Once satisfied fresh air free fluid is coming out filling the reservoir gives enough time to duck under car to close nipped. Because of the vacuume in the pipe once removed from the nipple any fluid in it is sucked into the bottle hence no mess. Having used preasure bleeders which you struggled to seal to the resevour this is without doubt the easiest cleanest method of brake bleeding I have found and we'll worth the £46 I paid for the bottle.. I bought a little pump/syphon-can't recall the make now-some years ago at a classic car show-it was £5 brand new.I've used it to syphon some of the ATF from the gearbox on my Omega before dropping the sumps[there's only a filler/level check plug on the AR35]then after making sure it was clean "reversed" it and re-filled the gearbox with it.The dipstick filler/level check that the AR35 had when fitted to the Senator was deleted for application in the Omega.
