Default EGR position

Can anyone tell me where the EGR valve and cooler are located in a 2012 V70 D4.
Just can't see it. My usual guy is at aloss to where it is.
Photos would be great.
Volvo wont do free replacement on this model.

standing in front of the engine with cover off , the EGR valve and position sensor on the 5 cylinder diesel is on the right of the cylinder head the black cover is the position sensor with EGR valve behind it .. The cooler is attached goind back along the back of the had above the gearbox , the radiator hose and pipe doesn't make it easy to see .
These components are very reliable ...

Thank you for info. Car has done 81k and been serviced on time to Volvo spec.
If car had been 2014 Volvo are replacing free.

I had to replace a small coolant hose on my EGR earlier this year on a D5 engine. I had to remove the battery and air filter compartments to gain access.

In the picture below, the arrow points to where the failed hose was. This was tucked under one of the big wiring looms and the coolant hoses feeding the cabin heater matrix.

I'm not actually sure what part of the EGR this is, but hopefully it gives you an idea of where too look.
