Default VIDA Patch

I have an old 32 bit laptop with WinXP on it, which runs a Chinese knock-off of Vida 2012A. It's the only Windows machine I have, and its only use is for this.

However, I seem to have fallen foul of an expired patch - every time I log in, it just reloads the log-in page. This seems to be a common problem.

So I guess I need an updated patch - I can find several for Vida 2014A-D, but they don't work on 2012A. Can anyone point me to one, or perhaps explain (in words of one syllable or less) how to make or modify the patch I have.

And for the bonus point, in words of up to two syllables, how do you do that to an .exe file?

Don't know specifically for VIDA but i have done something similar for other old software in the past - if you only use the pc for VIDA can't you just change the date on your pc settings, eg, back to, say, 1/1/2013.

Did mine on 2014b, just opened the file in notepad, edited the date and saved it again. Then it needs reapplying. Don’t remember it being an exe though. Not home now, so can’t look. Also got one of the 2011 versions which was just the same.

Just to clarify - the patch that I have is an exe file. I've found several patches for 2014A-D on the internet, but none of them work for 2012A (though I can see how easy it is to modify the non-exe versions of these). I can't find a non-exe version of the patch for 2012A.

I tried setting the system clock back, but Vida outsmarted that ploy by giving a log-in error, saying that the last log-in was in the future, and to contact the support line.
