Default Not Volvo, Megane pollen filter, my Good!

Just changed the pollen filter on the misses 2009 Megane, what a job. You have to remove the clutch pedal on rhd cars and one of the bolts is hard to get to, for a filter that should be changed regularly it's daft.

Oh and title meant to be my God!, doh

I guess so as mine on the lh side and not to bad to change, you would think the heater boxes would be different.

They are on your car which is a quality car , the later ford heater casings are just one handed, ford are the masters at cost cutting , as are Renault of course .

Have you had to replace a headlight bulb on it yet?

Haha... ain’t that the truth.

Back in the days before every mechanical procedure was available on YouTube my wife reported a headlight out on her 2002 Nissan... I obtained the correct bulb on the way home from work and grabbed the owners manual from the glove box. “Contact your Nissan dealer” it said... found that hard to believe, so looked at it trying to figure it out... gave up after half an hour or so.

Next day I bought the Haynes manual...

Sure enough... almost two full pages detailing the process of dismantling the front end of the car so that you could rebuild it around the new bulb

Head light bulb is easy unlike the previous mk2 Megane, but not as easy my S80.

Nothing has yet matched my Honda Accord Tourer for easy pollen filter replacement - Open glovebox, release glovebox door, open filter hatch, pull filter out, put filter in, close up. Literally a 2 minute job.

It's a shame that manufacturers put routine maintenance so far down on the list at times - Renault pulled a blinder with the 2001-2007 Laguna, whereby the front bumper had to be removed in order to replace a headlamp bulb. The official response was "It's designed for 5* NCAP - nothing else". Because obviously driving without headlamps is fine so long as you don't die when you crash.
