Is there not a compass on the sat nav?

Any idea if you can dim the icon, as it is quite bright and distracting when looking in the mirror at night.

Do you have a compass on an XC60? Do you also have the homelink buttons? I would really like to have those, but I thought they’re only available in the US market.

When I bought my V90 a couple of years ago I was told that it wasn't fitted to cars with sat nav.

I don't know the logic here, but the V90 CC Ocean Race had the Compass.

Shouldn't that be a sextant?

I was watching some of the many YouTube videos on the new Volvos which in the main are US based and realised that in countries with newly built infrastructure the roads are straight and and have perpendicular intersections unlike the UK which has a maze like road network. So a compass is more use in the new countries compared to the maze like road network in the UK.

US cars have had the compass in the rear view mirror for decades (since the 70s at least).

+1, very much a US-market focussed option

Apparently you can use a paperclip in the hole under the interior mirror to turn it off. But it turns on again next time the car is restarted.
