Whilst the xc90 is a very capable car I have found it's limitations. Though to be fair I don't think many 4x4 with out a winch would be able to get put of the ditch the cars in. I was driving along a narrow road when a car came the other way so I pulled over to avoid him but unknown to me the ditch at this point was covered in grass and very close to the roads edge. Before I knew it the front and then rear wheels went in. I can drive along the ditch but the car can't climb out. I am now waiting for help. There doesn't at this point appear to be any damage to the car as the ground is soft.

Right the car is now out and the only dance appears to be some dents in the doors but it is very muddy. The traction control works just how Volvo say it does as once it got pulled to the point where the front wheel was up the car drove out with the front right wheel in the air. Not the way I would have chosen to try it out it must be said.
Right off the jet wash the mud off to look her over properly.
