Looking for a good home!

Hi all,

Joined this forum a couple of years ago in the hope of getting my nans old 340 back on the road. Sadly that never really worked out and i offered her for sale on this very forum, got many responses and one very keen chap who wanted the car and was making arrangments to collect it but when it came to it my nan did'nt really want it to go so it stayed.

Fast forward a couple of years and zero progress later and this time it has definitly got to go so........

It's a 1985 340GL 1.4 5-door in Red with a desirable gold pinstripe! Grey trim which is virtually 'as-new'. Some rust in the rear arches. Bonnet and front valance is slightly dented where she ran off the road. On the plus side the car has been in my family from brand new, genuine 57000 miles with stacks of service history/bills etc. Garaged from new.

Car will need trailering away as no MOT or tax.
Located in Ely, Cambridgeshire.

As for price, thats not really important, we would rather she went to an enthusiast than the scrapyard, although a gesture of £50 for my Nan would make her happy!

I agree with Mark - a total steal! Make sure it goes to a caring owner for that kinda price!! Unfortunately the 300 series is attracting some of the wrong kind of attention at the moment. I'm sure someone enthusiastic to get it back on the road will come along soon.

Cheers for the replies guys, as i say the main aim is that it goes to a good home and hopefully put back on the road. Would hate it too fall into the wrong hands!

Hi,

Can you tell me when the car was last driven please, and whether it would drive on the road? I know it has no T&T, but I can drive it home as long as I book it into an MOT test centre. If it will roll, start and stop, I`ll come down this week to collect it sometime.
