Good Afternoon, I have joined this forum to let you know about a 1973 1800ES that was discovered in an elderly guys garage and needs a new home.
It is blue, possibly ocean green? and is very original. In 1996 it had a new engine fitted by the owner from new. It has covered about 100 miles since and has MOTs from 1996, 2003 and 2009. It has brown leather and is automatic.
It runs very well after I had a new solenoid and re-con starter fitted. Complete but tatty inside. The crome is very good and the bodywork has no dents. There is bubbling on the scuttle, slight rust at the top of screen and bubbling to corner of passenger door. Brakes need serious attention but otherwise most likely pass an MOT. Have spoken to original owner and the only other owner who did not register it or use it more than 100 miles in 22yrs.. Have letters from both to confirm one registered owner from new and comes with original log book and the only one issued for this car I believe. Has original sales brochure and few parts in a box and some spare crome. Please contact me if interested or have questions. A real bonny car. 01282860234.

Hi there and welcome.
Sounds like a very nice find.
Would love to see a few pictures.
Do you have a price in mind.
Take care.

Hi Steve,
Not very good at this technology but could send pics by phone if you want to call me at home and give me a number. I am a old Ford man so know very little about these cars only ever owning a 480. I cannot find anything similar to judge but an auction house want to sell it and have given an estimate after looking at it of 5-7k. they have sold 2 ES's before which both made 9k but were better I guess. I could take it to auction but thought I would try the owners club first as I am sure you members know the cars best. Please call me if interested and I see you are only about an hour away if you wanted a look. Regards Bob. 01282860234
