This all seems a little pedantic.

It is my understanding that a 'Registrar' is one who keeps whatever records in whatever 'Register'.

If VOC what to re-write the English language (and I have not looked at the wording of the Rules) sobeit, but if this were to be so, they would be found to be wrong.

I was Chairman and Registrar of a section in a very large car club and was then, as I am now, keen on preserving the"heritage". In order to do this Register Keeping one does need the co-operation of willing and enthusiastic members/owners (to provide data for a Register).

Yes, and you have my support (but don't wear it too often, it gets uncomfortable). In case you are worried, the US government makes the same mistake, having a person who is "Register of Copyrights".

I know nothing regarding the ruling of the word register,but i do know that ever since i have been a club member,,1975,,i joined ,the magazine has always referred to people who look after the various series as Register Keepers,in other words we keep a list of all the various models of volvo cars registered in the owners club.. So registrar or register does it really matter as long as we are club members enjoying the cars we own..regards sunnyvic
