Default Missing Tidal media information

I have the MY15 Sensus Connect infotainment system. When listening to music, I prefer to use the Tidal streaming service, as this is the one we use on various platforms in the house, and have a paid subscription to already.

When I choose a song on the Tidal app on the iPhone, only this particular song is shown in the infotainment display with album art, song title etc. The following songs in the album or playlist are just shown as "Tidal", and no album art or track info. Whenever I choose a song manually again, the info is shown.
I connect my iPhone 6 with the USB-cable.

Did some of you experience the same, and did you find a solution that makes track info and album art show for the next songs also?

I tried to connect via Bluetooth too, but then there is no album art, and noticeably worse sound quality. I also tried with iTunes instead of Tidal, and then album art / track info is shown for every song. I do not want to change service though...

Hi colleague,

Could you solve this issue?. I have the same problem with Tidal. The first song perfect with complete tags but the next ones with No info (only Tidal).
Thanks a lot.

Default No joy..

Nope, no solution. I guess that out of the 3 million Tidal users, only you and I have Sensus Connect :-)

Attempting to reactivate this post. One year passed by, and I found no solution yet. The change of iPhone models, software updates ets, did not help either.
Are there any Tidal users on this forum for whom media info works fine, or not?

Default Answer from Tidal

I finally sent an e-mail to Tidal, and they say this is a known issue that their deevelopers are working on.

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem on my Volvo V40 Cross Country 2017 model. I have the Harman Kardon Premium Sound system and the latest updates of my Volvo software performed now two weeks in the service at Bilia in Sweden (Volvo authorised service and dealer).

I have reported the issue to Tidal. With my Apple Music application I am able to see the album names, picture and the progress of the song. Tidal shows me only first song information and picture, then on the second song and further it shows only TIDAL text (as you can see it in the attached picture).

Via the Bluetooth I don't see the problem. Bluetooth connection only allows song name/artist/progress to be displayed, but not the album cover photo.

Note that I own an iPhone 8 Plus which I was connecting it to my Volvo audio system via the original Apple USB-to-lightning cable.

I hope that Tidal will fix this matter. Do you still experience the same problem now on your Volvo?

Andreas
