V50 front grille

Been having a play with MS Paint.

Is it possible to do the below with the existing grille or is the Volvo badge etc. a moulded part?

FK tuning used to do a badgeless grill I had one on my S40 was really nice made the car look a lot meaner, not sure if they still do it, but not sure if they still do them

No buddy. Was wondering if I can remove the standard Volvo badge and diagonal slice on the grille [right] to leave just the slats [left].

On my 05 model it was possible to remove badge and diagonal line (all 1 part) simply by unlocking it from the back. It was kind of clip-on to grille, but I had the older (whale fins) grille.
May be worth removing your grille (really easy to do) and inspect from the back, maybe its similar?

PS - have you considered mesh-type grille? Replaced my OEM (that I really heted) with one of those, car looks totally different, but I guess its a personal preferences. 80Eur on ebay, really good quality.

Sorry yeh defenitly possible to do it, I was going to have a crack at mine as it doesnt look to hard to get off with the correct tools but these grills seem to crack quite easily. Im guessing its the below you are after?

If you do change and choose to keep your original as it is, i'l buy it off you

They used to have choice of grills for practically any car, got mine for other (non Volvo) car ages ago. Just checked their website, all changed and range of items reduced to none.
Some Volvo stuff for sale currently e.g. front shocks for £ 5...

Quick search and found this - http://accessories.volvocars.com/en-...-410557-1/2012 - nice and easy. Hopefully it is like yours and doesn't have any mounting points behind it.

I have considered mesh grilles, but I can't seem to get away with them. Much prefer the slatted look. It also stays tied in with the rest of the grilles at the front [lower & fogs].

No, looking for a slatted grille, like the lower one on my car. Looking back at your first linked too grille, hopefully the back of mine isn't like that with regards to holding the badge on.

I had this one on my S40



Then swapped to one with DRL's in, sure they used to do them for the V50's too
