Default 2006 S40 2.4l without turbo, engine fault Ecm-260a

This car when warm up or sometime even not warm up, engine stall or jerk and stop, fault code Ecm-260a - fuel pressure sensor..

Things done-

Changed the fuel control module and pressure sensor yet still this fault comes, as engine start and off and start then fault comes, it may sometime drive fine but as soon as engine is off a couple of time, then pressure sensor fault code come and engine jerks and stall, unless you erase the pcm with scan tool or disconnect battery and reconnect then car start fine and drive okay..

Sometime over nite it won't start unless Battery disconnect is done or fault code is cleared...

Please what can be check again as all harness were clean yet still this keep coming...

Thanks for stopping by:

Can alternator cause this if the regulator is faulty in the alternator:

you need to check the actual fuel pressure with a gauge , could be pump or filter ???

You re right Ser Clan, I took gauge to check it and is around 28.90 psi or very close to 30 mark, at idle speed, and then when accelerate, it is still at the same place not moving up...

And on the scanner at idle speed am getting 289 _+4 but on the recommended service manual it is suppose to be 480_+5 at idle speed

So what Ser Clan says may be right and I will get the tank down and check there as well to see...

God bless you Ser for the input suggestion..
