Default drone noise ?

Hi guys, I seem to have a faint drone noise some times for what sounds like the rear however it's only when I have my foot on the gas pedal.

I notice it around 50mph etc and if I take my foot off the gas it will go away but as soon as I place my foot back on the gas it will come back.

If I skip the car into N at that speed and rev no noise.

it seems to be only under load?

any common issues you guys have come across?

Check the propshaft front joint at the transfer box for any play whatsoever.... if it is the joint the noise kicks in when the torque converter locks around 55 mph and increases with load, around 75-80 it dies off...

I thought this but it only happens when I put very lightly touch the gas pedal, not come across a wheel bearing that acts in that way when starts to fail.

strange thing is after 3 mins it stopped or maby the road surface changed?

I have had the same noise under light load for several years. I assume it is a bearing in the gearbox/transfer box. It has not got any worse and seems to have no effect. I would just monitor it.

And it's back 😂

I managed to sit in the back of the car and it sounds like the noise is coming from the O/S/R to me.

Very strange only makes the noise with your foot on the gas?

Rear CV or propshaft. If it comes from off (left) -side rear, my guess is passenger rear CV.
