If that has a manual gearbox, it's my ultimate dream car. Favourite colour, wheels, body style, and it's the front wheel drive. If I had the money, I'd pay in a heartbeat. It is a stupidly high price for what it is, though, I'll admit.

Worth every penny in my opinion! I'd love to know Jay Kay's take on the R. Anyone have his email?

Great to see this amongst a stunning collection by a proper car man!

There is no reason why, values should not continue to rise, considering, Volvo has never been able to produce anything like the 850R in all these years, yet the 850 T5R and R did the business they needed in their day - still do it today.

If Ford RS chav mobiles (excluding the iconic Escort and Sierra models) can see prices soar when they won nothing, makes absolute sense for the Volvo 850R to soar when it has a pedigree at the least to back up a lot more than non car nuts will know about it!

How backwards we have come with cars is awful, crap styling beneath which, technology has replaced the soul.....

Loads of similar spec motors on Ebay for 1/2 the price of this one.. None of them are shifting...
Does a mediocre pop star who hasn't had a song out in years double its value by his brief ownership... In my opinion no.
