Driving the car now the work has been done has convinced me that it's worth preserving, we have some rough road surfaces around here and there are no alarming noises from the suspension any more, not bad for a twenty-eight year old car!
Twenty eight year old is a mere stripling, of course it is worth preserving for at least another decade or two :-)

If you look carefully at the rear wheel arch inner lower point at the end of the sill etc. you should find a large rubber grommet that can be removed allowing the treatment to be spayed into the sill and at the specific vulnerable point where it gets attached to the wheel arch & "C" post.
The plug will probably be covered with the original underseal but will be reusable once cleaned up etc.
Hope it helps

Thank you Bob, you have answered one of the questions I'd meant to ask from when I did that little bit of welding on the RB: were those big rubber grommets put there by Mr Volvo? The answer is obviously yes :-)

I was really pleased to discover the RB had been waxoyled.

Default Volvovogue

I have received an email saying that Volvovogue no longer supplies the wheel arch liners. I'll order some from the DE supplier.

Thank you for that useful post.

That might help a number of members.

Comrade Stephen Edwin

EDIT P.S. Are or were the liners made by Volvovogue. If so do the DE supplier have much stock. Rhetorical question there. I suggest anyone wanting the liners buy them now, buy quickly .....
