V70 D5 SE 2006 Spares/Repairs Glasgow £350
Hi All
Have decided to cut my losses with this. Bought recently with a DPF problem and a suspected dodgy slave cylinder. Managed to clear DPF problem but now have EGR related fault codes so still in limp mode. The last straw for me is that the strut turrets are in need of a welding repair. A small plate on each side should suffice but as I cannot DIY I'm looking to move it on at a loss rather than continue to throw money at it. 469 Lunar Gold 190k MOT April 21 Beige leather in reasonable condition barring the usual split seam on drivers bolster. Heated front seats with electric adjustment on drivers side. Usual peeling fabric on A pillar trims. 2 keys Powerfold mirrors non functional (adjustment works fine) Headliner has dropped a bit but I'll try to address this and give the thing a general scrubbing before anyone views it. HU850 does not play CDs Some bubbling around front and rear arches and the top of each rear door. Also a couple of car park dinks. So, it's no minter but it's not 3k either. Could definitely be brought back by the right person or used as a donor to keep a nicer one on the road. Will get some pics up if anyone is interested. I'm putting this on hold for now. Moved car today and discovered that the mirror adjustment has packed up. There's a few things I want to do to it before I'd be happy sending anyone off in it. For one thing it's disgustingly filthy and I just can't sell a car like that. Will update for anyone who's interested.
Might look into the cost of a proper repair to the strut turrets. I know a man who does welding and his work is superb. Suspect not cheap though Cheers George |
