Smile 2000 V70 2.4T Petrol Manual in need of a good home

Our dear old workhorse is in need of a new pasture to live out his days.

V70 2000 2.4T petrol manual

Its been our family wagon for the past 12 years and its been well cared for.

The most recent work is (over the past 5 years) :
new cambelt
new alternator
new battery
new rear brake discs & pads
new fuel filter

It is, however, showing its age in some places.

The engine is rock solid and drives and pulls beautifully.
I used it for commuting between Exeter, Redruth and Plymouth but more recently its been a very low mileage car, about 4k a year.
I avoid using it for short journeys and I take good care of the clutch, which I believe is still the original (no signs of slipping).

I'm just looking to gauge if there is any interest in a car like this. I'm in no rush to sell, just wanting to see if there is the possibility of saving it from the scrap yard. Its such a solid, dependable car and I do hope there is someone who would like it.

What mileage is it at?
Any options extras fitted to the car eg heated seats?

BlueRubber, to answer your questions too:

Its done just over 180k. It has full leather interior, mostly in good nick, one seam coming adrift on the drivers seat.

It has no sunroof, just solid roof.
It has heated front seats
DTSC
Cruise Control

Still on the original clutch, still going strong with no issues. I treat it well.
After its last service, it was highlighted that the rear suspension springs have some rust.

The local garage that I take it to has an ex-Volvo master technician who does all the work on it.

It also needs a new regulator for the drivers window and new central locking solenoids for both rear doors.

Its showing its age to be truthful. Its core is sound, just the periphery that needs work.

Reg is X742 GBP so you can have a look at the MOT history.
