Perfect, it’s the cable in the handle in the first two files.

the cable stays where it is on the frame , just disconnect the end from the lock when you get it all out

Okay then you must have "keyless entry"....I haven't so not 100% sure, but from what I can see the connector cable plug (female)...needs to be hooked onto a clip so that it does not drop down and get "lost" when you put it all back together...hope that makes sense to you.
Another attachment from the front door that might help.......

I've got a problem 2016 V70, NSR door won't unlock on central locking. You can unlock it from the inside and it will lock from central locking but not unlock. It goes "clunk, tinkle" so I'm guessing something is broken? Seems electrical part is removable from main lock? Any suppliers of new motors or is the same lock used on a Ford (probably cheaper and it's labelled Ford)
Are there no longer bolts holding the window mechanism but plastic tags instead? My Haynes manual only goes up to 2012... Tempted to p/x the car or maybe it will catch fire as Volvo haven't followed up on the safety alert. I'm rapidly going off Volvo. Thanks |

Don't assume Ford parts are cheaper , far from it , do you know a set ford rear light units for a Mk 5 Mondeo is £1400 ? People go into volvo parts for ford type sensors as they are cheaper . Yes you press the plastic catches in whilst someone pulls the glass up to release the glass from the mechanism .

"Eugenie" on You Tube shows how to do a NSF door on an XC70 and it doesn't look too bad. This car has bolts securing the glass to the channel. He fits 2 new motors and replaced a spring that had fallen off. I've found a website for AutoDoc where they do pattern part locks for about £40 with 2 year guarantee.
There seem to be 2 part numbers so looks like I'll have to take it apart to get the right number. That'll do me as I think I'll be p/x'ing it shortly |

I've not been here enough to send a PM to Model flyer to ask where he gets his pattern parts so maybe he'll see this. I did see some motors on eBay which looked like the parts Eugenie was fitting.

Anyone of you learned chaps able to give me the part numbers for the two offside actuators/locks on a 2010 D5 V70 without keyless entry. Although at the moment you can enter without a key on account of the locks not locking! - Thanks in advance.

A quick call to the local dealer parts department is the best trouble-free way , it is not always straightforward for anyone else to do it as they don't have full access to the car's Factory details . they are over £200 each though !

For those who have the later design which have the tab you press to release the windows and not bolts I have attached a picture. Not sure what year it changed, mine is a early MY 2015. You also need to bring the window down to 16cm from the bottom of the window which again is different from the bolt release type. In the picture you press the tab in the rectangular hole. There is also only one tab and that is located in the middle, the hole on the outside is not used. This was for a rear windows the front could be different.
