Default S40/V40 lower strut / H brace Ultra Racing

One of these H frames / lower strut braces, except it's no longer white, it's been rust-treated, and powder-coated in black

http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showpo...67&postcount=4

I bought it from strbryan a couple of years ago, but I never got around to fitting it. Frankly, as I have a diesel not a T4, it's a bit pointless for me anyway.

If nobody on here wants it, it's going on eBay for £50 or best offer, I can't remember what I paid him for it, but they are about £70 or more new from UR in white, and then they rust like bu66ery. Hence the powder coating.

Usual forum discounts apply, so just send me an offer if you want it, I might feel charitable and give it to you cheap

Can't you get one made up antz at a engineering place it's only a few bits of metal and some welds.

A fabrication place could make one for you all they need is the dimensions and measurements.

Probably cost more than an original, Kieran, as it would be a 1 off.
The one I bought is mass produced.

Gary asked first, what can I say?

The main difficulty with getting one fabricated is that it's not straight, to hang below the chassis, and the angles of the mounting points look rather deliberate, so you can't just lash up some steel box section I don't think. Still you could certainly have a pop at it, if you had a welding kit, and the cost would be quite low. Getting one made professionally might be uneconomic.

Im not fussed its gone. I don't need another brace for the car and its saved me some cash to spend on my BMW E36 which does need some bracing.
