Are the 2003-2011 used Volvo XC90s good cars?
Hello,
I am new to this forum, I joined to ask a question, are the used 2003-2011 Volvo XC90 good SUVs? Good in the sense, reliable, durable and not needing to make trips to the repair shop etc... I'm from Belgium where the whether is balanced, unpredictable (like at one moment it rains heavily and the next moment there is a bright sunshine...) but not extreme (not very hot or not very cold). In Belgium, traffic laws and rules are well enforced, which is one of the reasons I believe the XC90 is loved in the Belgian climate and traffic. Here in Belgium I've seen a couple of XC90s, they're pretty common, but I'm not sure about reliability and other aspects, so I was wondering if you guys would like to share me your take, I would appreciate it. Hi There Natureboy - Welcome to the forum.
As it happens, I'll be in Belgium tomorrow at the Harley-Davidson Rally in Retie... You have posted this question in "Sales" which probably isn't the best place to get maximum attention but, I should say that in most members opinion, the XC90 is a great car. If you don't get many responses I suggest you re-post in "XC90 General" I would also suggest you use Google and this forum to find as much info as you can - there's lots out there.!! (and don't let the occasional tale of woe put you off.) Every car is going to have some problems - the trick is to find one that has had the big problems (e.g. 4 wheel/2 wheel drive) sorted. Depending on your budget, I would recommend you look at cars from 2007 onwards as there were some earlier issues that seem to have been resolved in the facelift at that time. Also the D5 engined cars seem to be preferred over the other options (but if I'd had the chance of a 4.4 V8, I'd have jumped at it...) Good luck with the search Cheers Dave |
