I have a 1991 2.0 Turbo in my car,
hope I can help. Not had this problem myself but one cylinder not running would have me swapping in an old set of four sparkplugs and some crappy HT leads, a very quick test to see if they are the culprit. Also the distributor cap would be off for a clean inside. Edit ; Quote:
I once had problems after replacing with new HT leads and had to go back to the ancient originals after seriously cleaning them : awesome quality those old bougicords!

I have to agree - after 30 years and 220k miles, one of my originals broke! Gave me "half a misfire" when cold but nothing once hot. I changed the set as they were obviously original and on #1 plug lead on mine, there is an RPM sensor that can obviously get old/tired and as that comes with a new set of leads.......... $38 from Rock Auto or £29 and some change in our money, delivered.
Not Bougi's but kept the old ones as an emergency spare set, except of course the broken one!
