Throttle cable - Page 2

ive spliced it together as suggested above for the time being. i have ordered a cable and will get it done properly once it arrives.

got the part number 3547292 which is also a left hand drive model. GCP have been very good however and have arranged a return. They have also confirmed that the right hand drive model is now discontinued and they do not carry it.

That is a real pity! Would think that the cable itself is the same on both LHD and RHD....

the left hand drive is much shorter than the right hand, by about a meter and a half.

Update on this one, Spoke to a chap at my local volvo dealer today who had been looking around for me for a while. He has sourced a genuine right had drive cable for me, should be hear within the next few days. Happy days indeed.

Got it today, the guy at the dealer confirmed the part is deleted however there is quite a lot of stock still in Europe, mine was source from Germany with part number 9463261, if anyone in the future wants one, give me a PM and i'd be happy to get hold of them and charge a small postage fee.

Yep. Makes no sense to me either. Installed it this evening, throttle is way smoother now
