Boooom!! Wtf happened to Collision avoidance assistance?? Isn't the car supposed to steer away, in case of an imminent crash?.. What I also find disappointing is how Pilot Assist reacts (brakes..) suddenly and abruptly when it registers a car in front- compared to, for example, Tesla's Autopilet's progressive, gentle slowdown.. |

It relies on the driver to start the maneuver. If you look at the dashboard footage, as he/she starts to turn the wheel City Safety kicks in and helps out.
I thought the Volvo did pretty poorly in comparison to many of the others, nearly all of which picked up the stationary vehicle at lower speeds and braked gently. |
