Default 2008 S80 Blower Motor Resistor Location

I replaced the blower motor, but the fan still does not work. How do I replace the resistor? Where is it located? Is there a fuse for the blower that I should try first?

The diagram below would suggest that there is a resistor attached to the fan case...not sure if that helps.

Resister is up near pollen filter on passenger side of climate box up again bulkhead,

A lot easier job to change than a fan

There is no resistor any longer. Cars with ECC have an electronic PWM drive unit, probably based on a power-FET or similar.

Just so you look for the correct part.

Ha, I noticed now that in the linked document, the wrong designation resistor is actually used. At least Volvo's wiring diagrams list it as a Fan control module, which makes more sense.
