  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

hi, is there any members here in Gillingham kent area with vida that could help me out please , my s40 keeps loosing its charge and id like to get it fixed so I can use the car many thanks please pm me if you can help

all you need is a multi meter to check out the charging system ...

been advised to use a vida as the battery keeps going flat , bot hbattery and alternator have been checked and are fine

vida will not help , You need an auto electrician ,you need to measure at the battery the current being drawn using a multimeter , 10 to 30 ma is fine more than 100 ma will cause problems if the car is not used much . if it is about 500 ma it could be a 5w bulb , the glovebox lamp for example or boot lamp on all the time .
Once you have established there is a substantial drain you need to determine which fuse it is going through and follow it on to a component .
This is all basic stuff that will work on any car ...

oh ok... the car is also making a beeping noise every 2 to 3 minutes so someone advised using vida to locate the fault … is that not right then?
