Default Brake conversion

Got a P1800 and planning to improve as well performance as braking system.
Wondering if someone has (sure has, but has he documented) swapped bigger front disks into P1800 or Amazon.

Iīm goin to swap rear axle and of course at the same time rear drums to disks. Thats not a problem, but any advice regarding front brake conversion?

I read years ago that Jaguar XJ6 Series 1 front calipers fit. But whetehr that would improve brake performance was not mentioned, it was put forward as a cost saving measure, Jag parts being cheaper!!!!!!

The Jag series 1 front caliper is the same 4 piston Girling caliper as on the E&ES.

Is it also the same as the caliper used for the dual circuit Amazons?

Just to confuse and confirm compatibility........

I the past, I used 240 calipers on a Jag Etype stubaxle, so there is a caliper mount spacing compatibility....

Does that mean that I could use a 4 pot, 240series caliper on my '66 122? (allowing for some pipework modification as 240 was dual\split system)

Cheers

No, the Amazon's have a 3 pot caliper, the E&ES have a 4 pot caliper.

And you can't make the E/ES item fit either - I tried to do it but the bolt holes are different.
