Default 360 GLS information request

I have recently aquired Volvo 360 GLS 1984. Unfortunately without any manuals. I would be grateful for information on LED indicators on the dashboard.

Thank you in advance,

Tomasz;)

In particular, I need information on the red light LED idicator located in the middle of teh dashboard between the oil and seat belts indicators.
It looks like an exclamation mark inside the circle and surrounded by brackets on its sides : (!0)

Sincerely
Tomasz

I have a Volvo owners manual for 1984 340/360 models, and on checking the dashboard/instrument panel layout there is no mention of led's.
I assume if they are red, amber and green they may be some type of 'economy' driving system. Sorry can't be more helpful.

Where on the panel are the lights in question?

Of LEDs, there are three possibilities - low fuel (above gauge), overheating (above temp gauge), and on some models, 'economy' indicator, showing when to change up for the best economy.

On the other hand, there are a load of bulbs shining through 'symbols' for things like lights, handbrake, seatbelts undone, etc.

Which ones do you want info on?

cheers

James

Isn't that your handbrake warning light?

It's not an LED, just looks like one because the bulbs are so dam(n) dim on these earlier models.

The (i) and (P) symbol comes on when the parking brake is on? If I remember correctly. (i) is the brake fluid level warning light as well and will stay on when the parking brake is off if the fluid is too low.

On later models (post 86) the (P) light only would come on with the parking brake on, although strangely, the oil pressure light and the (i) light come on together if the oil pressure is low, for instance when re-starting if you haven't bothered to pre-load the filter after an oil change. Must be the wiring LOL!
