Get your MAF figures at idle then at 1,2,3,4k revs.

What's the condition of your intercooler? My S60 D5 does the same thing, accelerate off a roundabout, overtake, anything at full throttle and it hiccups and goes into limp mode.

I got the same code (I think) and having looked at my intercooler (the middle radiator if I remember correctly) its quite badly bowed and seeping oil out of it. I think I read that if its leaking then the turbo may think it's over boosting and shut the wastegate causing limp home mode and throwing up that code. (But I stand to be corrected on that!)

I'm getting a new intercooler as a Christmas pressie and have everything crossed that will fix it. If not, back to the drawing board, but my intercoolers definitely stuffed so its not going to hurt to change it.

Cheers

Wayne

Actually, the engine mount might be the problem, looking at this thread:

http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=100016

I have the same problems - very little power at low revs and a sudden burst of power at about 2k. Something causing loss of vacuum somewhere...

Will check MAF readings and intercooler when I get home later....

Sounds like just diagnosing this one might be a bit of a PITA...
I was going suggest wastegate solenoid because it seems to be a common problem on many makes of turbo fitted cars.

P0244 generally equates to Volvo code ECM6805 as per the sticky.
Check through the mounts & tubes, solenoid operation for TGV & TCV, check the fresh air intake hose for splits/collapse and the intercooler, sticky vanes on the turbo. 6805 referes to boost high or low and really means that there is a mismatch between the required air inlet and that measured by the MAF. It could relate to a MAF or MAP fualt (but they should also throw a code) or andything else that could cause a mismatch in calculated v measued air flow, or as in my case, a collapsing 1st CAT. It's been said that the faults with the fuel filter, air filter or injectors can sometimes casue the code to be thrown.
Ideally get someone local with VIDA/DiCE to read the actual Volvo codes.
Good luck, it can be a difficult one to track down properly.

Did this in a hurry this morning and couldn't quite get the revs steady, but here's what I've got...

revs - MAF

1105 - 19.6
1719 - 31.9
2828 - 52.3
3401 - 62.5

This was done while the error was occurring and it was in limp mode. I'll try again later after I've cleared the error and see what the beef is then...

What is the unit of measurement?
It looks like grams per second but can you confirm......

Right, well your MAF is responding in line with revs so that's a good start but your figures are still low for a D5 so I'm thinking some kind of air leak or possibly blockage.
Check absolute basics like the condition of the air filter and air filter box and seals and intake pipework.
You could even blow some smoke into the intake and see if it appears anywhere in the bay.
