Default XC90 Leaning on a Space Saver

Saw this and it was 'listing' due to the Space Saver, it made me think that the diameter of the SS can't be a match for the other road wheels?

If the wheel size is incorrect it'll rotate at a different speed - the differential won't like that?

It also depends on whether the space saver is inflated correctly.

But that's why it's a differential, to cope with the differing speeds of the wheels either side of an axil. Provided it's an open diff it should cope, space savers are only regarded as get you to a tyre dealer to get the full sized one repaired or replaced in the first place not a fit and forget item.
The body lean on that car would keep it firmly in my mind that a tyre needed fixing.

The differential will be fine, as will the haldex system, they are designed to cope with that. It doesn't look very "Volvo" though....
