If i've done it right, this should take you to Pg 398 of the GCP catalogue and you can see the Jet is a clip for the wiper arm as well :

https://weblisher.textalk.se/gcp/201...0&noConflict=1

Shows the layout of the washer tubing too.

Those are Volvo part numbers, your local main stealer should be able to order them from GCP without a problem but might take a couple of weeks or so to come from Sweden if they don't have any UK stock.

***EDIT*** Just tried that link, it took me to Pg1! Click in the Pg number box bottom centre, type in 398 and hit return/enter
I had fun scrolling though the catalogue! Found the right bit in the end👍 thanks, it's useful for this but also to find other stuff, like the 'preheating hose', I now know that post number too. Well, I've forgotten it but it's there at least!

The have a short plastic piece at the end with the wiper and hose fitting rather than plastic the while length of the arm.

That's a lovely estate in a lovely colour by the way!
Thanks Tim, i like it!

When you say yours are the bare metal type, you mean like a flat bar with the wiper blade stuck on the end? If so Bob has given you the part numbers for those jets/clips.

There's no plastic on the arms on mine except the jet/clip at the end, they're a sort of cast alloy stuff.

They are/were oem Bosch and handed, Pt Nos. 03518091and 92. That should be enough for the dealer to trace them.

If you get problems have a look on the Skandix.de website to availability. I am not suggesting you buy from them!!

Bob
Apologies, I missed this response!
Overload on my part. It's what you get from feeding and bathing two children while trying to sort things out!

Yes mine is the flat bar, so these are the parts right parts.

The parts Nos I gave (off a Volvo dealership invoice) actually don't have a '0' before them having looked on the Skandix website.

And .... even Skandix appear to be having a supply problem with apparently the r/h side on waiting for delivery supply and, the l/h unavailable.

Actually, the plastic nozzle slides on the bare metal arm end and is held with a 'nub' that 'clicks' onto the metal on the arm.

Maybe I should have bought a couple of spare sets!

Yes my one remnant, what's left of it does clip on with the metal nub. I also have one metal wiper frame!

Having a few spares might be useful. These and various instruments from the instrument cluster!!

I remember the old days when you had to phone round various suppliers and ask for part codes, now you mostly just go online and search for 'that thing that does this job...' and get loads of hits.

Spoiled, we are. Apart from hard-to-get Volvo trinkets.

They're comparatively easy compared to some!

Ok, I think I'm getting used to this.

I phoned FRF and got a straight answer, ordered the parts, albeit on back order, for less than £20.

Winner!

Glad it's all sorted. I have always been impressed with FRF. Trust you got your Forum discount. Under £20! When I bought mine in 2012 from the local dealership the pair were £9.67. Guess that's inflation for you.

A lot of stuff has inexplicably gone up Bob, not even sure inflation can be blamed as it's beedn fairly low during that time.

The part numbers I gave above are for the plastic inserts that fit (slide over) the end of a wiper metal arm.

They are made by Bosch and at the last count you could get them from a Volvo dealership (some things are amazing). If you experience a problem phone FRF, Swansea, if they are open in the current Covid era.

If you have a Facelift as per my photo the wiper blade is 5" in length compared with the more regular 700 Series 6". They are difficult to source so I make up my own from cut off wiper strips you can buy for 2 x £1 in long lengths in PoundShops!

Bob
There are a couple of variants of the facelift though, I've got the facelift 740 with the single headlamp with the trim around it and these are different arms/blades to the twin headlights of the 940 type and the early 740s I think.

I had to replace one of the plastic bits on one of these, and sure I got these from one of the specialists. I would have to dig out the details for them if they are this type.
