Default IRS suspension

I've been looking in to upgrades for the IRS suspension for my 86 760 turbo saloon, I'm not finding much other than turbo bricks slagging it off as their idea of performance is going in a straight line for a 1/4 mile where a 9" ford explorer solid axle is better.

All the links to coilovers or lowering springs etc are all sold out.

I was just wondering if anyone does any polybushes for them, lowering springs, dampers etc.

It won't be for a very long time after some extensive welding I do anything but it would be nice to hear the options for future reference.

A bit too wet to stick my head under but the rear end looks quite low so I think it might.

The Mk1 9xx IRS is the same as the IRS fitted to the 760 from 88 onwards, before that as far as i'm aware all 760 models had the live rear axle like the rest of the range. Might be worth a look underneath at the back axle before you pull the trigger on some coil-overs that won't fit!

Well that makes life easier, I braced the wet stuff... solid axle!

Must be as you say Dave and it is 88 onwards, right well that makes life easier then, polybushes, 40mm lesjofores, gaz adjustable dampers and IPD anti roll bars, same as the 940 then... just need a lot of money to appear from nowhere now.
