Default 7x17" ET30 wheels with 215/45/17 tyres - will they fit?

Hi all,

As far as I understand, the factory Comet is an ET43 wheel with the same 7J width.

I have found some wheels that are 7x17 with ET30, so it would be like running a 13mm spacer all round.

Will these foul the rear arches? I am to be running the correct 215/45 tyre.

Thanks

Is your car lowered beyond factory? You'll have no issue on the rear, but might have to make some measurements on full lock for the front - the fender side being the concern this time.

Hey buddy

Yep, shes been recently rebuilt with a full suspension rebuild including the Eibach Pro-kit.

When I squat under, I can see about 15mm of clearance between the top of the existing tyre and the inner wheel arch.

So, the tyres have arrived today!

Wheels I am collecting on Monday, they're an original and new set of Kahn RS alloys in 7x17 with ET30. These look very similar to the Pegasus alloys, hence my choice.

I just hope that ET30 doesn't cause me too much distress....
