Not a chance of finding a 360 built in 1991 I'm afraid, they finished in '89 and all the G plates I've seen have been registered on the 1 Aug only. 340s continued to '91.
Black 360s are lovely but not super common, good luck in the search

I owned multiple 360's in my time. Really fun to drive and go sideways in. The engine was really well built and even if you snapped a timing belt it wouldn't affect the valves. I'm actually thinking of buying one again here in Australia if I can find a good one.

It was a 1.4 and I'll never forget one day It rained I tryed to drift it and the old girl wouldn't, went to cinema that night and on the way back I turned down onto the dual carrige way slip road and accidentally give it too much beans back end come out I said very calmly said the s word turned into it and drifted down the slip road while my sis was having a panic attack lol Ohh and to make it more supriseing it had a 1.7's gearbox and diff on it would pull 5th at 60mph all day long increased the economy too The drift control on it was un real can't wait to find one and drop in a 850 t5r and test it on the nerunberg ring what a beast it'll be :P |

Turns out that 360 is a saloon I'm ideally after a hatch back but if the saloon is a good price I'll probably go for it, just waiting on photos If there's anyone else that knows to a 360 hatch back please let me know |

Blasphemy, saloons are my favourite
I was told they have less road noise than the hatchbacks and stiffer rear suspension, besides they look awesome... let photo whoring commence |

[QUOTE=360beast;1751230]Blasphemy, saloons are my favourite
I was told they have less road noise than the hatchbacks and stiffer rear suspension, besides they look awesome... /QUOTE] I'm inclined to agree, 360beast. Back in the day, I ran a 'D' 360GL Hatch, doing 40K as a business tool in two years. I replaced this with an 'F' 340GLE 1.7 Saloon, again doing 40K in two years. Don't know about the suspension, but the saloon was much quieter, as you say, and generally felt more refined than the hatch. It was also much more economical, averaging 39 MPG to the 360's 32 overall. We did road test a 1.4 Auto, but found it underpowered and couldn't get on with the CVT. I think my ideal 300 series car would have been a 360GLE Saloon with a conventional automatic 'box, had Volvo but produced such a variant. I'd have one today if they existed! I think that in the day, if you wanted a 'hatch' you bought a 'hatch', and vice versa. Today, I think that decision is largely irrelevant. Any surviving 300 series will be bought primarily for pleasure purposes. The important thing surely is that any such car, regardless of 'spec' is preserved to be enjoyed for as long as possible. Kind regards, John.
